Scams & Avoiding The Trap

Google Link Posting

Ok so I fell for it. Recently in a bid to try and build my online presence and like many other increase my income I was blinded by the opportunity. I should have asked myself all those questions I generally offers, run all the oldest sayings over in my mind - but I didn't. Yes we have all heard them...If it looks too good...Nothing for free...Why would you share your successful programme...

In a bid to try and save any others from being had by one of many scams out to take our money rather than try and hide my stupidity I share it in a hope it will save at least one person from losing their money. I was relatively lucky in that this particular scam has (to date) only cost me $1.95 though I have to anticipate they will attempt to gain more, recent research found a forum suggesting they will be trying to take an additional $38 odd dollars each month for services.

So this particular scam was the one for google links, interestingly I have since found a hub here advertising how great it is! I guess one of the reasons I got sucked in was beacuse there are at least two newspaper blogs seemingly supporting it, very clever but then they are.

It should be noted that as far as I can now see Google have no actual association with this.

Being new here I am unsure as to whether this top advert will be chnaging or staying as it is now, ironically the one currently displayed says we can quit our job and earn $5000 - another scam or what?

Some More Out There

Home worker scams should generally be very easy to spot, after all anyone asking you to pay for the privilege of working for them can't be very legit now can they.

Pyramid schemes where pay outs are determined by layers should be equally obvious, while these things can and do work very well in an environment of salespeople in the real world working for large corporate companies the online versions would surely be just a con. Again I don't ever recall any of my family or friends being asked by large corporations to pay in before they could draw out, unless of course they were purchasing shares.

The Guardian recently published an article on how Britons abroad are being scmmed for thousands with scratch cards.

Bank charge cold callers are offering to claim back charges for UK citizens inline with changes to lending regulations, but surprise surprise there is an upfront fee!  My daughter has received one of these calls.

Final Thought

In a time when so many are recently out of work and trying hard to replace a little of their lost income it is only obvious that the scamsters will comeout in force.  A dispicable fact I am afraid.  The only way we can beat these people, ther vermin who feed off of others is to be alert and give them nothing!  Don't be like me and fall into one of the many traps that out there!
